NSPECTION & MAINTENANCE Hydraulic Cylinder, Upper and Hoses Jower hook engagement Forks Fasteners 1000-Hour ‘After each 1000 hours of truck operation in addition tothe 1100 and S00-hour maintenance, perform the folowing procedures: + Inspect upper and lower bearings for wear. If any Dearing is worn to less than 3/32 in. (2.5 mm) thickness, replace the entire bearing set. Refer to Section 5.5-3 for disassembly proce- dures. © Clean all surfaces to be welded. Remove paint, oil, gfease and other contaminants. @ Locate the mounting brackets and crossmembers on the mast rails. Ciamp in piace with °C: clamps. Protect - the mast ral inner surfaces from weld spiatter with fiberglass cloth, © Preheat the weld area to 100" F (38° C) before welding, Do not weld in a draty area. @ WELD METHOD A - Attach the ground wire to the outer Weld using FAW (Fux Core Arc Weld) AWS E7OT-5 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) diameter wire with 100% COz shielding gas. Use the location and filet size shown holding a close are. Do not oscillate or use a wash bead pattem.
