The Director of Health Services, West Bengal, Sub: Declaration of GMH, Kalyani as the 2" campus of College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences MEMORANDUM In terms of this department memo No, HF/O/MERT/1222/W-17/2009 Dated 28” August 2009, sanction had been accorded for setting up of a Medical College with 100 MBBS student intake capacity in the premises of J.N.M Hospital, Kalyani Nadia, under the name “College of Medicine and INM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences” under the ownership and management of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Salt-lake, and time to time several teaching and non- feaching posts had been created in consultation with the Finance Department and with approval of the State Cabinet. 2. _ Accordingly it is hereby clarified that the J. N. M Hospital, Kelyani is an integral part of the aforesaid “College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences” Under the ownership and management of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, 3.__ For better utilization of the infrastructure of G.M.H, Kalyani and rendering specialist services, the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that the GMH, Kalyani is hereby declared as a teaching hospital and for such purposes will be the 2"! campus of “College of Medicine and INM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences”, All academic activities and specialist services Will be under the aegis of “College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences” 4.
