Personality is the dynamic organisation within the individual of those psycho-physical

systems that determine his unique adjustment to his environment. A personality test is an
instrument used to evaluate personality or measure personality traits.(apa) One such
personality test is the EPI or the Eyesenck Personality Inventory. This theory was developed
and then propounded by Hans J(urgen) Eysenck. It went to be published as commercial test in
1963 by Hans and Sybil B. G Eyesenck. This was a revised version of the Maudsley
personality inventory. EPI measures personality two dimensions of personality that are,
introversion and extroversion and Neuroticism and Stability. In EPI, Introversion and
Extroversion are a dimension which use phlegmatic and sanguine temperaments while also
disposition related to social situations.

The Eyesenck Personality Inventory has 57 questions that can be answered as YES or
NO. In EPI, you get 3 scores after you take the test, namely; 1) The lie score, 2) The E score
and 3) The N score. The E score helps to understand if you have provided any positive
answers to seem more socially acceptable. This score is rated out of 5. The N score talks
about neuroticism and the E score talks about Extroversion. Both these scales are rated out of
24. A falsification scale is a method used to ensure the data collected it accurate. It involves
falsifying or omitting information. In EPI it is used to ensure that the participant is being
truthful.
Conducting the experiment

I conducted this experiment virtually. To conduct this experiment, the first thing I had
to do was look for 2 consenting adults who would be willing to participate. To do this, I
asked people I know. The next step was to give them some basic information. I told them that
their identities would be confidential and that they don’t need to reveal their identities in any
way. Then I sent the test to them online and told them to answer the questions as accurately
as possible and was sent their replies back.
