PURPOSE.
The film Hugo (2011) is a reminder
to its audience that everyone has
its purpose in this world. Some
may try to run away from their
purpose in life, just like what
Georges Méliès did in the film, but
in the end what is meant to be their
purpose will always find its way
back to them.
SOMEONE APPRECIATES YOU.
The film was also trying to convey the
strong emotion of appreciation to the
viewers. In the film, protagonist Hugo
expressed his appreciation to the
second main character Isabelle. While
Isabelle, Hugo, Mama Jeanne and others
found appreciation in the works of Papa
Georges, despite him not seeing the
beauty in his work.
