Dear Mx.

Ian Kenneth Fermo,

Greetings!

I'm writing this letter to inform you that I no longer want to continue my service as one of the
staff writers of "The Gearcast" for the next academic year. The reason why I've come to this
decision is that I'm not capable anymore to do the job as a credible staff writer of the
organization.

While I had so much time to improve my craft, I incessantly tarnished my integrity by commiting
far-fetched mistakes. In the first semester last year, I always submitted late write-ups to the
managing editor which reflects my irresponsibility and incompetence. Furthermore, I've done
such terrible negligence recently in transcribing the interview of an aspiring College Student
Council representative by not rechecking the draft of her responses.

With these happenings, I've sincerely apologized. I realized that being part of the college
publication is not meant for me. If I continue doing so, I might become a liability, rather an asset.
Perhaps, I have a lot of things to work on to fully redeem myself. Thus, I will focus all my
attention to academics from now on as I embark to sophomore year.

Thank you a thousand folds. God bless.
