MENT ‘test piece of the product was cut, and the weight of the sample recorded in terms of g/m*. The remainder was FR treated and dried in a baker at the relevant temperature. A further sample of Identical measurement was taken from the treated length and weighed to determine the increase in dry pick-up. IN-HOUSE ASSESSMENT ‘The treated sample was subjected to single flame ignitabilty test replicating, as far as possible, the requirement specified in EN ISO 1925-2. The flame was applied for 15 seconds to the bottom edge of ‘the vertically positioned sample, and no flaming beyond 150mm of the ignition source was observed. A propane flame was then applied for 10 seconds, and no excessive flaring or splitting was observed beyond the area of ignition. RESULTS ‘Based on the increase in dry weight and the reaction to both the above ignitability tess, the sample indicated compliance with al the requirements of BS 7176: 2007 + A1: 2011 Medium Hazard (in acc.
