There are many advantages and

disadvantages of studying english with

students from the same country .

The advantages of studying English with

fellow countrymen are many. One of them
is to be able to interact on the same level.
Another advantage is to communicate
using the mother language as a facilitator
tool. Study English with people from my
own country will help me to overcome the
shyness barrier which can be a problem
when learning a second language .
Another benefit is the ability to recognize
cultural elements and different language
nuances. A student coming from the same
country could be an asset and a useful
key player in the language acquisition
process
One of the biggest problems related to
learning a second language is the gap of
vocabulary and sentence structure.
having someone to share these difficulties
will be very helpful. Some languages do
not share the same origin or do not have
common ground.

Needless to say learning a second

language is always a challenge .

The disadvantages are mainly regarding to

stay in the comfort zone since you are
prone to use your language all the time
and that could be a hindrance for
progress.

Other than that , other points to be

considered are the lack of developing new
native born friends in the country due to
the constant interaction with folks from
the same place of origin. Nevertheless , to
be able to have some friends of one’s
country is definitely essential for making
some progress.
