There are words on the pie,” said Ritty. “This pie has my name on it.”
“What about me? I would love to eat one!”
Said Alzy as he ran to the food with a big spoon in his hand.
“Oh, you have a yummy plum pie! But, I do
not see any pie for me!” said Alzy as his eyes ran briskly over the table of food. “Oh, there is no pie for me? Aah! No one ever thinks of me!” he screamed.
“Alzy, you are wrong!” said Ritty. “Mum has
made two pies, one for you and one for me.”
“Oh? Mum did think of me,” said Alzy.
“Yes, she did! See? Look here! This pie is for
you!” she said as she took a big meat pie out of the oven.
“ I said no one thinks of me. But, oops! I am
so sorry,” said Alzy when he saw it. “ What I said was wrong. Now, I have to eat my words.” “You can eat this pie, too,” said Ritty with a laugh, “Look at it! See the words here? This pie has your name on it!”
