Colluvium,

soil and debris that accumulate at the base of a slope by mass


wasting or sheet erosion. It generally includes angular fragments, not
sorted according to size, and may contain slabs of bedrock that dip
back toward the slope, indicating both their place of origin and that
slumping was the process of transportation. At the edges of valleys,
colluvium may be interfingered with and almost indistinguishable
from alluvium.
