Dilemma/conflict faced by the decision maker: To find where the why and where the problem of
resignation of Mumbai employees exists – is it due to leadership problem or pressure of US
employees?

Problem statement: How does the project be delivered on time with synergy between the
employees?

Criteria for effective solution to the problem identified:

Reducing the resignation at Mumbai office

Satisfaction of employees

Client satisfaction

On time delivery of project

Relationship between the employees of both the countries

Alternatives/options/solutions:

1. Cultural mix of people in both the countries, as that improves the relationship as well as they
get to know about both client engagement and technical support
2. A new manager at Mumbai to oversee the work, so problems does not prolong and can be
fixed instantly.
3. As a leader Notrika can get reviews from employees in a timely manner to get to know their
problems.
4. A small technical support team can be hired or part of the team can be transferred to Boston
to reduce the delay.

Analysis of the alternatives/solutions:

1. This gives an idea of how the work is there in both the countries for both teams. Boston
team will get an idea of technical support tasks and the deadline issues would be sorted.
This incurs Transportation cost.
2. This gives better management of technical team and they will have someone to address
their issues with. This might increase the satisfaction and ensure lesser resignation.
Recruitment cost is required.
3. This helps to address problems of the employees helps to in a much better way and
improves the leadership of Notrika.
4. Hiring technical engineers can help to reduce the work load, act as a back up team and also
this can sort the immediate request of the clients. This incurs training costs of them.

Decision/summary/learning:

Thus, for the short-term solution reviews and may be effective communication can sort the issues.
But for a longer run cultural mix of people in both the countries and a back up technical team in
Boston works well.
