TERM REPORT GUIDELINES

ADVANCED BUSINESS TO BUSINESS MARKETING, SPRING 2022


MBA Program

TA: Filza Ahmed

Each student will select a company and write a term report, presenting, analyzing, and
evaluating the objectives, strategy, plans and practices in one specific, weak area of the
company’s B to B Marketing. The concepts and processes taught in the course should be
applied specifically to the selected company.
The general outline of the report, which may vary from company to company, should cover:
1 Overview of the industry and the company, brief history of the company, its
ownership, 21st Century positioning, SWOT, corporate strategy, standing in the
industry (Pages: 4)
2 Critique and Analysis of the company’s marketing goals, corporate and marketing
challenges, marketing strategy, the market segment(s), marketing mix, the
management of the Marketing Department and its organization structure, related
information pertaining to the current situation. (Pages: 5)
3 The weak area and marketing problem, its impact on the company’s marketing and
corporate objectives. (Pages: 3)
4 Detailed root cause analysis and reasons for the problem. (Pages: 3)
5 Solution of the problem - apply the concepts, processes and practices discussed in
the course. (Pages: 4)
6 Flow diagram and Gantt Chart for implementation of the solution. (Pages: 2)
7 Literature search (articles and reference material to be placed in the appendix)

Cover page to mention on the top right-hand corner: Advanced B to B Term Report, Student
name, ID, cell no, email, Company Name. The report has to be typed in Arial font 12, A4 size
paper. Ensure English Grammar and Spell check.
The TA or Faculty can be contacted for advice when required.
Submission Deadline is in the last class before the final exam via emails and on LMS. Email to

attachment should be named: B to B - Term Report-Student name, ID
