READING TEST PART TWO:  INSTRUCTIONS

Text Cohesion Test 1

1. When you arrive, follow the signs to reception

2. He or she will then give you a visitor identify card
3. Before you leave, please return the card to reception
4. If you are visiting our school for the first time, please follow these
instructions
5. You must wear it somewhere visible at all times
6. Then give your name and show your ID to the receptionist

Text Cohesion Test 2

1. My alarm clock didn’t ring, so I didn’t even have time for a shower
2. While I was walking up them, I fell and twisted my ankle
3. When I got the office building, the lift was out of order
4. My first day at work didn’t go as planned
5. I finally arrived at the office red faced, sweating and limping. Not a
great first day
6. So I decided to take the stairs
Text Cohesion Test 3

1. The only thing left to do is decorate it however you wish. Maybe with
more fresh fruit or toasted almonds
2. Then cover this with a layer of strauberries and pour the liquid jelly on
top. Put it in the fridge so that it sets and solidifies
3. First place an even layer of sponge fingers on the botto of the bowl.
4. The English trifle is a typical dessert that’s been popular for more than
400 years.
5. You’ll need some sponge fingers strawberries, jelly, cream and
custards.
6. Once it’s solid, add the custard and pour the cream on top.
