Sub: Annual variable increments for the year 2022 to contract employees on
consolidated pay covered under Revised Modified Engagement Model (RMEM).
In consideration to the clause no 6 “d & g” of OM 02/22 with respect to annual
variable increment of contract on consolidated pay employees i.e. Project
Associates, Project Engineers, Knowledge Associates, PL/ML/SPE and Project
Managers mapped into Modified Engagement Model, Centres are directed to adopt
and implement the following.
1) Annual variable increment range and limit of average increment for each
experience block for Project Associates, Project Engineers, Knowledge
Associates, PL/ML/SPE and Project Managers are given below. Centre to decide
on the increment range and average increment based on the performance of the
employee and financial ability of the Centre/group with in the given increment
range/average.

Note: For counting years of service
i. Number of years of service completed should be counted from the date of entry in
to the current designation
ji, Incase of new appointments/reappointments, employee must complete minimum
6 months service as on 30 June 2022 (July 2022 increment) or 31% Dec 2022
anuary 2023 increment).
2) The above increment shall come in to force from 1* July 2022 or 1 January 2023
for those who were due for annual increment in January 2022 and July 2022
respectively, as the case may be, (refer clause no 6 “d” of OM 02/22) and for
those eligible as per 1(ii) above.
3) Groups with a smaller number of employees falling under consideration can be
clubbed for drawing the average. Centre Heads to normalise the average
increments allowed to eligible members of the particular group to ensure that
the Centre average does not exces¢-beyand what is provided in this order or as
decided by the Centre

4) The average can be different for different groups/department based on
8roup/departments performance, financial status etc.
5) Appointment on contract on consolidated pay are individual contract with the
concerned employee and the organisation and therefore no parity/ comparison
can be drawn between any such appointments. Accordingly, anomalies, if any,
arising out of comparison shall not qualify for redressal.
6) Annual increment shall not be applicable to employees those who are separated
and those who are serving notice period on resignation/ termination of contract.
For any clarifications/information centers to revert to Corporate HRD.
