Introduction

Energy is one of the most important things in over daily life. We can’t do a thing
without power. Due to industrialization the demand of energy keeps on
increasing and the needs are being fulfilled by the fossil fuels. But due to overuse
of fossil fuels the carbon dioxide levels in atmosphere are increased [5], due to
increase in CO2 the global warming is increased, and sea levels are raised. So, the
problem is solved by using the renewable resources.
Solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, geothermal energy, biogas are different
types of renewable energy. In this review we concentrate on energy generated by
using solar energy. Sun generates a radiant flux of 1.75×105 TW outside the
atmosphere. The energy strikes on the earth is equivalent to 5.9×106 tons of
standard coal per second, so that the solar energy resources are very rich.[1].
Solar energy can be converted into electrical energy by using solar beam tower.
