ORDER

Tennessee Constitution Article VI, Section 5 provides that the Attorney General and
Reporter shall be appointed by the judges of the Tennessee Supreme Court for a term of
eight years. After an open selection process, the Supreme Court is pleased to appoint
Jonathan Skrmetti to serve as Attorney General and Reporter for the State of Tennessee for
a term of office beginning September 1, 2022, and concluding on August 31, 2030.
Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated section 8-6-101, this order shall be entered in the
minutes of the Supreme Court at Knoxville, Nashville, and Jackson.

Enter this 10th day of August, 2022.
