Rene Descartes’s Ideas
As per my understanding, Descartes sought God, not the world, as the source of the validity of reason.
Metaphysical principles of the Rationalist School were supported by the nature of God in the case of
Descartes and God's will to create the best of all conceivable worlds in the case of Leibniz. Their
metaphysical concepts of matter and causality were justified not by experience but by the natural
illumination of reason, a God-given attribute. But what about those with divergent perspectives on the nature
of substance, essence, existence, etc.? Is it true that he was not properly adhering to his ideas of substance,
etc.? Human comprehension of this image is not discursive but revelatory; like in Geometry, we arrive to
principles by paying great attention to our mental images of figures. We learn about metaphysical structures
by examining their mental concepts. God, rather than experience, is the source of these ideas. We only need
to pay attention to them. Nonetheless, it appears that people's opinions on metaphysical principles differ, and
in light of this, clinging to a preferred metaphysical principle seems like cherry picking.

Conclusion
It can be finally acknowledged that because God existed, he/she/it could not necessarily be a deceiver, and
that because God had created his intellect, body, and senses, the external world must exist. He made
incredible effort in defining the soul's existence and how it functioned, despite the fact that he was wholly
mistaken about having resolved the entire issue. He was determined that the mind was absolutely distinct
from the body. In philosophy of mind, the "Mind Body Problem" refers to the seeming contradiction
between the physical processes of the brain and body & the experience of consciousness.
