ABSTRACT

depth analysis of a particular subject. The abstract concisely reports the

aims and outcomes of your research so that readers know exactly what

the paper is about or help the reader quickly ascertain the paper's

purpose.

INTRODUCTION

Background Of The Study

The introduction to a research paper is where you set up your

topic and approach for the reader. It establishes the scope and

significance of the research being conducted by summarizing these

several key goals:

• Present your topic and get the reader interested

• Provide background or summarize existing research

• Position your own approach

• Detail your specific research problem

• Give an overview of the paper’s structure

The five steps will help you put together an effective introduction for

either type of research paper.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

A review of related literature is an analysis of man’s written or spoken

knowledge of the world. You examine representations of man’s thinking
about the world to determine the connection of your research with what
people already know about it.

A literature review is a survey of scholarly sources on a specific topic. It

provides an overview of current knowledge, allowing you to identify
relevant theories, methods, and gaps in the existing research.

Writing a literature review involves finding relevant publications (such as

books and journal articles), critically analyzing them, and explaining what
you found. There are five key steps:

1. Search for relevant literature

2. Evaluate sources
3. Identify themes, debates and gaps
4. Outline the structure
5. Write your literature review

A good literature review doesn’t just summarize sources—it

analyzes, synthesizes, and critically evaluates to give a clear picture of
the state of knowledge on the subject.
