Internship & Industrial Training Policy-(2021-22)

Overview

“Higher education is an important period for a student to grow, meet new

people and experience life from a different perspective, but ultimately, it’s
about preparing students for their career path.”

Internships are becoming more and more important as a way to complement

education and secure a future career. Internships provide students a valuable glimpse
into what it‟s like to work for a living, lend insights into how your chosen field
works and what it takes to succeed, never the less internships can show a potential
employer that student is serious about wanting to be a valuable, skilled & successful
employee. Thus Internships and industrial trainings are becoming popular as a great
alternative for the students to gain practical exposure and develop desired
employability skills.

Keeping AICTE internship policy in view KIET provides enterprising internship

and industrial training to the students as a work-based learning experience
depending on the nature of the project. Students can also develop skills – technical,
inter-personal or intra-personal – by successfully completing their assigned task.
These internships and industrial trainings will also add to the student‟s experience
by engaging them in multidisciplinary project activities which enhance management
and communication of the students, which are common elements of project and task-
performance.

This policy may be revised in future as per updated guidelines of AICTE/AKTU.

The salient points of internship and industrial training policy (2021-22) for B. Tech. first year, second year,
