Nalco's 3935 has been found to be GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) under the US Food and Drug Administration's food additive
regulations and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, when used only as a corrosion inhibitor in cooling and retort water
applications in the canning industry at levels of up to 250 ppm as product in the hot or cold water.

Limitations: no more than required to produce intended technical effect.
