ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

Title of the Activity: In –Service Training (INSET) on Table of Specifications and Team Building.

I. INTRODUCTION
In line with the implementation of R>A> 10533 or the K to 12 Basic
Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for
the Improvement of Teaching and Learning and in response to the DepEd Order (DO)
No.012 s,2021, the scheduled remediation and In-Service Training (INSET) activities
to bridge learning gaps and to intensify learning gaps, the English Department of
Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School on its move to keep track with
the latest advance means to provide quality basic education to the students
scheduled this INSET on the Table Specifications.
Hence, to ensure that a test or assessment measures the content and
thinking skills that the test intends to measure the Table of Specifications is the
appropriate tool to consider. In addition, the TOS allows the teacher to construct a
test which focuses on the key areas and weight those different areas based on their
importance. Furthermore, the table of specifications provides the teacher with
evidence that a test has content validity, that it covers what should be covered.
Thus, the use of the TOS benefits in two ways: it improves the validity of teacher-
made tests and it can improve student learning as well.

III. Venue: Mabaroca Beach Resort, Cabong, Borongan City

IV. Participants: The head and the teachers of the English Department
V. OBJECTIVES:
1. Discuss the significance and components of the Table of Specifications.
2. Present the steps on how to construct the Table of Specifications
3. Craft a Table of Specifications
4. Increase collaboration through team building.

VI. Highlights of the Activity:


1. All the English teachers, including the head teacher attended in the In- Service
Training(INSET)
2. The teachers actively participated in the discussion on the topic.
3. Certificates were awarded to the participants and to the proponent/resource
speaker.
4. Hand -outs were given to the participants.
5. Outdoor activities such as parlour games were conducted.
