NARRATIVE REPORT

Activity Title: Homeroom Guidance Program Orientation

Date: August 17, 2022, 8:00 AM-12:00 NN
Venue: Senior High School Building

The program started at 8:45 with an opening prayer led by Mr. Edgardo
Parenas, and followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Twenty-three teachers
attended the event.

Maam Mercy L. Sales delivered an inspirational remark. She reminded the

teachers to put God first in everything they do, to read the holy book, to ask Him for
wisdom, and to share to the learners the importance of having relationship with God.
She also encouraged the teachers to establish good rapport with the learners and
instill in them godly values.

Furthermore, she urged the teachers, being models, to dress well and act as
professionals especially in front of the learners. She closed her talk with a challenge
for the teachers to love and take care of their learners.

The principal’s talk was followed by an energizer and an introduction of each

participant.

In the orientation proper, Maam Oxideza G. Catada presented the duties,

responsibilities, and services offered by her office. She also discussed the legal
basis and policy guidelines on the implementation of the homeroom guidance, as
well as the roles of the classroom advisers and the stakeholders.

She further emphasized that the homeroom guidance can be a safe space for
learners to have fun and learn in the areas of personal and social development,
academic domain, and career development. In conclusion, she urged the teachers to
work hand in hand on the conduct of the homeroom guidance, and assured them
that her office is always available in extending assistance regarding guidance
matters.

The orientation ended at exactly 11:50 AM.
