LANGUAGE ASSISTANT PROGRAM IN SPAIN

The Language and Culture Assistant Program is an initiative of the Spanish Department of
Education. The program is primarily addressed to Norwegian nationals with a Bachelor´s Degree,
or in their final year of studies, interested in Spanish language and culture, with an almost native
English-speaking ability. Assistants will spend a semester or a full academic year, October to June,
in Spain.

Its main objective is to provide Norwegian participants with the opportunity to assist English teachers
in primary, secondary and language schools (12-16 class periods per week). At the same time, this
program allows Spanish students the opportunity to get to know Norwegian culture by interacting
with the assistants.

Language assistants receive a monthly stipend (about 700 -1000 euros a month) and an orientation
course upon arrival. Transportation from and to the country of origin will depend on selected
candidates.

For school year 2021-2022 applications online are open from January to April.
