MALPELO ISLAND

Malpelo Island is located in the


Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean
approximately 500 kilometers west of
the port of Buenaventura. In the
political-administrative division, it
belongs to the Buenaventura
municipality, Valle del Cauca.
Malpelo Island is located on the
Pacific coast of Colombia, it is a Flora
and Fauna Sanctuary that is
permanently cared for by the country's
National Navy. This tourist destination
has 35 hectares of land area and
another 38,000 of marine area. This island is a submarine mountain range that emerged
from 4,000 meters of sea depth; the island, together with other rocks, form an archipelago
that is one of the most visited tourist sites in Colombia. In addition to everything, this area
was recognized in 2006 as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In short, a Marine
Jewel of Colombia.

BEACHES OF JUANCHACO AND LADRILEROS

Beaches de Juanchaco and Ladrilleros in the


Pacific of Colombia, located 1 hour 30 minutes
by boat from Buenaventura, are located north of
Bahía Malaga, in the department of Valle del
Cauca, two destinations framed by the thickness
of the jungle and the deep blue of the Pacific
Ocean. They are places inhabited by fishermen
who have grown up listening to the rhythmic
sounds of the marimba and the drum, which are
part of the joy of their race.
Access to the Juanchaco and Ladrilleros area is
by sea from the city of Buenaventura, by boat that takes approximately 45 minutes.
The traveler is sure to enjoy the secluded beaches, which see their extension grow or
decrease according to the rhythm of the tides. Similarly, in them you can see some
examples of the variety of animal and plant species that inhabit this region of the country.
We can do different tourist activities in Juanchaco and Ladrilleros, from walks to kayak or
canoe tours to different tourist spots...

URAMBA BAHÍA MÁLAGA NATIONAL NATURAL PARK

It is one of the newest Colombian national


parks and a popular ecotourism destination.
It is located in and around Málaga Bay on
the Colombian Pacific coast in the
municipality of Buenaventura, Valle del
Cauca, Colombia. It is an area of high
biodiversity and a favorite spot for
reproducing humpback whales, making this
area a popular whale watching destination.
Most of natural area is original with the
exception of the areas around a few small
towns like Juanchaco, Ladrilleros, and La Barra, as well as a Colombian naval base. The
national park was created in 2010 and is Colombia's 56th national natural park. Uramba
Bahia Malaga houses an immense variety of fauna and flora species, both continental and
marine.
The bay is recognized around the world as a seasonal migration location for the humpback
whale, Megaptera novaeangliae, which arrives at the warm and calm waters of the bay to
raise its whale calves, and to reproduce. This protected area is the result of the
coordinated labour of the Colombia Natural National Park System as an environmental
authority, and the five community councils: La Plata-Bahia Malaga, Ladrilleros, Juanchaco,
La Barra, and Puerto España-Miramar.

SAN CIPRIANO NATURE RESERVE

San Cipriano is a beautiful paradise in the


middle of the jungle, it is a nature reserve
that has one of the most crystalline, clean
and pure rivers in Colombia, its wonderful
trails, natural waterfalls and its beautiful
humid tropical forest make it a magical
destination.
San Cipriano is a picturesque town in the
Colombian Pacific in the middle of the
jungle, surrounded by rivers that are ideal
for: developing activities such as swimming,
taxiing, tubing and high diving.
The adventure begins when you get on the witch, a kind of wooden slab with balineras
placed on the rails of the train that, driven by a motorcycle, you travel through the jungle
the path that will take you to live an exotic, unique and unrepeatable experience. The San
Cipriano Natural Reserve is ideal for the pleasure of the spirit and rest, there you will find
peace, silence and you will be able to synchronize the beats of your heart with the sound
of a naturally virgin forest, you will taste delicious food, you will see friendly people and
you will live an adventure worth repeating.

CHUCHEROS BEACH

Located on the south side of the Bay


of Malaga, 10 minutes by boat from
Juanchaco.
it has a waterfall 10 meters high that
forms a freshwater pool on the beach.
this wonderful destination is the most
appropriate to enjoy with family,
couples or friends.

To get there you must take a boat at


the Juanchaco pier for 10 minutes
where you will have an impressive
view of green cliffs until you reach
Chucheros Beach.

It has an extension of 1,500 meters. And only a few meters away you can appreciate the
sea. It is wonderful a rest beach!
Apart from enjoying the beach, you can take short walks (20-60 min) along trails in the
jungle to other beaches such as Coqueros, Chucheros, Playa Dorada.

A paradise where you can disconnect from the world and enjoy an incredible place with an

almost private beach, beautiful landscapes .
