The Brigada Eskwela is a school maintenance program nationwide that engages all the responsive education stakeholders to contribute their time, efforts and resources in ensuring that all public schools are ready for the opening of the face-to- face (F2F) classes this coming School Year (S.Y) 2022-2023. 3. This year’s theme of Brigada Eskwela is “Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”. To mark the start of the annual implementation of Brigada Eskwela, the National Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program shall be held on August 01, 2022 to be hosted by the CAR Region. Moreover, the Regional Brigada Eskwela Kick- Off shall be held on August 02, 2022 at 9:00 a.m onwards to be hosted by Schools Division Office of Tarlac Province at the same time it will broadcast via Official Facebook page of the DepEd Region III. Likewise, all School Division Offices (SDOs) and schools are encouraged to launch kick-off ceremonies after the Regional Kick- Off program. 4, The 2022 Brigada Eskwela implementation shall focus on the following, a. Implementation of the year-round schools’ maintenance and repair activities, which includes the provision of the immediate needs during disaster or calamities, and the addressing of resource gaps during the reopening of the face-to- face classes; ‘Address: Matalino St. D.M. Strengthened partnership engagements with partners and stakeholders that complement DepEd’s efforts to ensure quality basic education; c. Achievement of significant goals which shall contribute to increasing students’ participation rate, reducing drop-outs and helping improve learning for both learners and community; and d. Creation of a network of community-based organization to get total community commitment for collaborative programs and projects including the Brigada Pag-basa and other support and volunteer/community-based projects. 5. In compliance to the strict implementation of the minimum health protocols for the conduct of face-to-face activity, only the identified DepEd personnel shall attend the onsite celebration of Regional Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off. a. Pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Guidelines on the Implementation of Minimum Health Protocols and Standards, attendees in the Regional BE Kick-Off Ceremony are advised to observe and strictly follow the existing guidelines on health protocol and as may be required by the local government unit. 7. ‘The Regional Office shall download support funds to SDO Tarlac Province as the host SDO relative to the conduct of Regional Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Ceremony. Travel and other incidental expenses incurred in attending Regional BE Kick-Off from Regional Office shall be charged against RO MOOE while those from the Division Office shall be charged against local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 8.
