COGNITIVE APPROACH
Activities which can be described as cognitive strategies include making mind
maps, visualization, association, mnemonics (a tool that helps you remember an idea
or phrase with a pattern of letters, numbers, or relatable associations) , using clues in reading
comprehension, underlining key words, scanning and self-testing and
monitoring.

COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH
Practicing question forms by asking learners to find out personal information
about their colleagues is an example of the communicative approach, as it
involves meaningful communication.

ORAL-SITUATIONAL APPROACH
- Going to a supermarket and naming fruits/veggies
- Naming art equipment and describing own artwork
- Getting a PUV and asking the driver

GRAMMAR-BASED APPROACH
Grammar teaching involves a situational presentation of new sentence patterns
and drills to practice these patterns. The teacher moves from controlled to freer
practice of structures and from oral use of sentence patterns to their automatic
use in speech, reading, and writing.

COMPREHENSION APPROACH
Let the students read stories and eventually let them write their own story.
