Goal and Objectives of the Program


The comprehensive psychological and counseling shall assist in the development of
competent individuals endowed with knowledge and skills to become responsible, productive,
and contributing members of the community. It shall specifically aims to:

1. appraise student resources;


2. counsel students with personal-social, academic and career concerns;
3. organize fora for parents, teachers, and students relevant to their needs;
4. orient students, faculty, administrators, and parents to guidance and counseling
programs and services;
5. consult and/or collaborate with parents and faculty regarding students’ concerns;
6. assist school administrators with identifying and resolving student issues, problems,
and needs;
7. collaborate with other units in the university and community to gather information on
how to serve the students better;
8. network with various sectors in the community to enhance delivery of guidance and
counseling programs and services; and
9. conduct research/evaluation relevant to the effective and efficient delivery of
counseling programs and services.

Components of the Program

Figure 1 shows the schematic diagram of the program components and delivery system.

Delivery System

• Guidance Curriculum
– designed to assist students in achieving the competencies and is presented through
classroom and group activities

– consists of activities to meet the immediate needs of students which require
counseling, consultation, referral, peer mediation, or information

– consists of management activities that establish, maintain , and enhance the total
program
Mechanics of Implementation- (you may add here procedure on how the
counseling program will be implemented).
1. The two-year program shall be facilitated by Guidance and Counseling Center in
collaboration with the faculty, parents, administrators and community
members/stakeholders.
2. Full support of the School administration is needed for its effective implementation.
3. Budget in the development, implementation and evaluation of the program shall be
financed by the School.
4. Both formative and summative evaluations shall be an inherent part of the program and
shall be conducted periodically.

This is just a sample of the counseling program. You may enhance your
program based on the samples that were previously given to you.
