ASSESSING WRITING
Task: Please read the sample of a student's writing attached. Design a scoring rubric to assess
the writing.Try to assess the writing by using the scoring rubric you have created.
Using the Rubric of the perception scale where the assessment guideline has a level of
assessment criteria that is not described, but is still given a rating scale or assessment score.
Example Rubric:
GRADE SCORE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Very Less <20 Students cannot compose words or sentences in
accordance with the correct context, systematic, idiom
or vocabulary.
Not Enough 21 – 40 Students have several words or sentences arranged
according to the correct context, systematic, idiom or
vocabulary.
Enough 41 – 60 Students have proficiency in composing words or
sentences, but lack in writing vocabulary and idioms.
Good 61 – 80 Students can implement well in terms of context,
systematic, idioms and vocabulary.
Very Good >81 Students can implement very well from the use of
words, context, systematic, idioms and vocabulary
well and can compose sentences correctly.
