Alcorn state is a public historically

black college located in Mississippi. It
was founded in 1871 and was the first
Black land grant college established in
the United States. Alcorn state is well
known to be the oldest public
historically black land-grant
institution in the United States and
the second-oldest state-supported
institution of higher learning in
Mississippi. The campus size is
1,756 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic
calendar. Alcorn State University's ranking in the
2021 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities
South, #84.
