You will need 50 g of sock yarn,
4ply, of your choice and needles
2.5 mm.
I will describe the method with
two circular needles – of course
you can knit the socks with dpns
…..

If you want to knit another size or
if you want to cast on another
number of stitches – please do so.
This is NOT a real pattern, it's
more a guide for this kind of heel.

StSt: knit on right side, purl on
wrong side
make 1: make 2 stitches out of 1
stitch
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

Cast on 60 stitches. Join to knit in the round, be careful not to twist.
Knit 1, purl 1 for 10 rows.
Next round: knit 4, purl 1 until the end of the round.
Repeat 9 times.

Begin of heel – work over all stitches!
Next round: work in pattern for 14 stitches, make 1, place marker, make 1, knit to the end of
round.
Next round: work in pattern, include the additional stitches into the pattern.
Next round: work in pattern until 1 stitch before marker, make 1, slip marker, make 1, knit to
the end of round.
Next round: work in pattern, include the additional stitches into the pattern.
Repeat the last two rows until you have 50 stitches on one circular needle (and 30 on the
other).

Next round (work only over the first circular needle, work in plain StSt):
knit until the marker, slip marker, knit 2, k2tog, knit 1, turn
Next row: purl until the marker, remove marker, purl 2, p2tog, purl 1, turn
Next row: knit to the stitch you've knitted together before, k2tog, k1, turn
Next row: purl to the stitch you've purled together before, p2tog, p1, turn
Repeat the last two rows until you have 30 stitches again on the needle.

Next round: knit 29, purl 1, *knit 4, purl 1* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Repeat this round for 54 rounds.

Begin of the toe:
!
*knit 1, k2tog, knit to the last 3 stitches, k2tog, knit 1* repeat from * to * on the second
needle.
Next row: knit
Repeat these two rows until you have 18 stitches on each of the two needles.
Work only the first row until you have 8 stitches left on each of the two needles.
Turn the sock inside-out and close the tip with the three-needle-bind-off.
