What do you think of when you hear the word
diversity?
America is a nation of immigrants. There were four major
events of migration, that allowed America to grow.
1. The first was when the Original Conquerors from Europe

(Britain, Spain, France) settled and lived with Native

Americans and African slaves.

2. The second was the Irish, German, and Scottish moving

to live in the western part of the country.

3. Italians and Chinese came next, when many industries

were starting and the country was developing.

4. Finally, after World War II, Mexican, Latin American,
and Middle Eastern immigrants came in great numbers.

Many of these people opened businesses and have helped to

grow America, its economy and added to its cultural

diversity.
