ABSTRACT

Learning media is something that can be used to convey messages or

information in the teaching and learning process so that it can stimulate students'
attention. With the presence of information technology-based learning media in
learning is a demand for students to increase learning motivation. This study aims
to see the effect of using google classroom and youtube social media on students'
learning motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Dumai. The variables google classroom and
youtube social media in this study can both be used to make it easier for teachers
and students to carry out teaching and learning activities without being bound by
place and time. The data used in this study is primary data obtained from
distributing questionnaires to 238 students as a sample and a population of 589
students.
The results of the study found that Google Classroom had a significant
effect on learning motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Dumai. YouTube social media has
a significant effect on student motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Dumai. the use of
google classroom learning media, youtube social media together has a significant
influence on students' learning motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Dumai.
