are changed in the laboratory so they will bind
to cancer cells and kill them

perspective:

The localisation of sufficient

numbers of T cells to tumors.
Finding ways to control cytokines
production.

Finding a specific tumor

antigens and engineering CARs Reduce the risk of direct toxicity
that cover all cancers. and uncontrolled proliferation.

Success Rate
• The CAR T-cell therapy success rate is about 30 % to
40% for lasting Remission .

• Patient’s who receive CAR T-Cell therapy have recovery

period of approximately 2-3 months.

• However, the treatment is still very new. The FOOD AND

DRUG ADMINISTRATION (FDA)* approved the first CAR
T-cell therapy in 2017.
