Introduction
Role-based privilege configuration on WebUI is different from that in CLI, because
monitoring WebUI requires the privilege for executing the “show…” CLI commands.
On the WebUI, after defining a role for an administrator account, you need to
configure a “Permit” privilege rule to allow this role to perform configurations related
to the “show…” commands. Otherwise, the administrator account will encounter “500
internal error” during WebUI login.
The following section provides a configuration example.
Configuration Example
1. Choose System > User Management. In the System Administrator tab, add an
administrator account, for example, “myadmin”.
2. In the Role tab, add a role, and assign it to the created administrator account.
4. Use the created administrator account to log in the system via WebUI. The login
fails with the following page displayed.
5. Use the default administrator account to log in the system and configure a Permit
rule to allow “myadmin” to perform configurations related to “show…”
commands.
6. Use “myadmin” to log in the system again via WebUI. The login is successful,
and it is able to perform SLB configurations, but unable to configure other
modules, such as LLB.
