SOFTWARE
The Duet DRF is an optimal dynamic digital radiography acquisition static including fluoroscopy and radiography capabilities. It
includes a 17” Detector providing a superior alternative to the traditional Image Intensifier. The system delivers remarkable image
quality, efficient workflow and IHE compliant data connectivity, thus enhancing the productivity of radiology departments.
The Duet DRF operates with both industry-leading detectors from Thales: Pixium RF4343 Flat Panel Detector and Pixium RF4343 FL. It
provides the capabilities of both digital fluoroscopy and digital radiography imaging. The system delivers an excellent image quality
right on time to ease any clinical workflow.
The cutting edge object oriented software performs real-time image processing, advanced vascular features (options) and storage.
The DICOM 3.0 compliant connectivity provides the tools to transmit patient demographics, examination and image data in digital
format. The system is therefore easily integrated into a PACS network.

Real-time Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) The mask image is subtracted from all acquired images in real time
Two-phase protocol for accurate placement of catheters during fluoroscopic angiography
procedures.
Road-mapping During the first phase, a mask image is generated from the fluoroscopic images using a
minimum intensity projection algorithm. During the second phase of the protocol, the
mask is subtracted from all incoming averaged images.
The operator can modify the relative position between the “mask” and “contrast” images
by using automatic pixel shift / automatic registration of contrast and mask according to
an area defined by the user. Manual pixel shift for fine adjustment is also available.
Pixel shifting
Shifting resolutions are 1/8, ¼, ½ and 1pixel.
Maximum pixel shifting is not limited. A “home” function enables the realignment of the
original images.
An “optimum” DSA image is obtained using maximum or minimum intensity projection
DSA with maximum/minimum pixel opacification
algorithm.
“Optimized” mask and contrast images are obtained using averaging techniques. Images
Group Mask / Group Subtraction
are integrated with a 16-bit accuracy.
RAD MODE
Duet DRF supports General RAD technique – Full general RAD examination management for the all aspects:
From modality work-list (MWL), history list or manually – including registration of pre-set RAD
Patient registration
examinations with APRs per body part with different stored procedure step (SPS)
Acquisition of RAD examination including fine-tuning adjustments of exposure parameters.
Several examination workflows are possible
Automatic: system continues to next APR/view in the same examination after
Main screen approved acquisition.
Manual: user has to select the next APR/view.
Re-select: current APR/view is selected again after acquisition until user selects
another APR
Accept/Reject: user has to accept or to reject each image after acquisition
Image accept/reject
Automatic Accept: system accepts each image automatically after acquisition
System settings RAD examinations, body-parts, APRs, backup and restore
Examination management Setting tool to define examination behavior and content
Controls each APR settings including fluoroscopy settings, exposure parameters, image
APR management
processing, table position and collimator
Supports acquisition from the main Pixium RF4343 detector or from CR.
Stations Different exposure parameters may be set in the APR/view settings. It also supports different
receptors with the CPI X-ray generator
Supports different APR/view settings related to the active/registered patient size. Other
Patient size
sizes than normal patient size need to be calibrated
FPD integration time 0.5 or 3.2 seconds
