 We have chosen the company ‘Apollo Hospitals’ from the healthcare sector.
India’s healthcare sector has been growing steadily with an annual growth
HEALTHCARE SECTOR rate of 22% since 2016. At this pace, it is expected to reach USD 372 Billion in
2022.
Healthcare in the Indian Economy has become one of the largest sectors in
terms of both employment and revenue. India’s healthcare delivery system is
categorised into both public and private. The government i.e. Public
healthcare mainly focuses on providing basic healthcare facilities in form of
Primary Healthcare sectors (PHCs) especially rural areas. The private sector
provides majority of secondary, tertiary and quaternary care institutions in
which major focus/concentration in metros and in both tier-1 and tier-2 cities.
India has many competitive advantages in terms of large number of well-
trained medical professionals due to its large population. India is also
competitive in cost and managing costs when compared to Asia and
Western countries.

 A Registered Nurse's Job:
Registered nurses (RNs) frequently wear many hats on a daily basis in order to care for their patients. A
registered nurse's major responsibility is to guarantee that every patient receives the direct and correct
care that they require, and they do this in a variety of ways.
RNs examine and identify the requirements of patients before implementing and monitoring the patient's
medical plan and treatment. They also guarantee that patient care is carried out in accordance with their
employer's regulations and standards, whether it is a hospital or another institution.
Most crucial, trained nurses coordinate each patient's care. Nurses oversee all the moving elements in their
workplaces, from collecting blood and teaching patients about their health to working closely with doctors
on their medical teams.

Registered nurses are responsible for:

- Monitoring patients' conditions and analysing their requirements in order to give the best treatment and
advice possible.
- Observing and analysing patient symptoms and conveying them to physician
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop tailored care plans for patients.

 RESPONSIBILITIES OF NURSES

● Fill out patient paperwork and perform standard operations (blood pressure readings, injections, etc.).

● Inspect the facilities and take steps to ensure great hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitising surfaces,
preparing beds etc.)

● In an emergency, provide immediate medical attention.

● Assist surgeons with surgical procedures.

● LPNs and nursing assistants must be supervised and trained.

● Create a welcoming and sympathetic atmosphere for patients and their families.

● Attend educational courses, conferences, and other events to broaden your knowledge and talents. 5
To become a registered nurse, you must fulfil three major steps:

Earn an approved degree: While an associate's degree is the

minimal educational need for becoming an RN in some places,
a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is necessary in others. As
more states and companies need a BSN, this has become the
de facto standard in many areas.

Take the National Council Licensure Examination and pass it

(NCLEX)

Obtain state certification: Steps might differ greatly from state

to state, so verify with the state where you intend to practice.

 • Job description:
