Preparation

Ÿ Full load in bucket.

Ÿ Arm cylinder is fully retracted.
Ÿ Bucket cylinder is fully extended.
Ÿ Mark (A) the slew bearing out race and directly below mark (B) the undercarriage.
Ÿ Slew the superstructure so that the arm and boom are 180 degrees.

Measurement

Ÿ Operate the slew control lever at full stroke and slew 180°.
Ÿ When the marks (A, B) align, return the lever to neutral position.
Ÿ Measure the distance between the mark (A) on the slew bearing and the mark (B) on the undercarriage.
