Vv READING Look at these paragraphs. They are parts of a story, but they are in the wrong order. (Note: the end of the story is missing.) The adventure ‘A Just as I was sitting down, I saw Javier. He was running along behind the bus and waving to me. He was saying something, but I couldn't hear over the noise of the bus. Then the bus speeded up and I couldn’t see Javier any more. B I got off the bus at the bus station and walked to the shops. It took nearly two hours to get everything. While I was looking for the last. few things, somebody called me. It was Carmen’s friend, Javier. © The bus didn’t stop for quite a long time, but finally it stopped and I got off. I waited till the bus left and started to cross the street. Then I saw that it was a one-way street. There wasn’t a bus stop on the other side. I didn’t know anybody there and it was getting dark. What could do? D I finished my shopping and then we went somewhere for a cup of coffee. We had a long chat. Javier's very nice. And he speaks very ‘g00d English, We talked for about an hour and then we walked to the bus station together. E After about a quarter of an hour, however, I realized why Javier was chasing the bus. I was on the wrong bus and I didn’t know where we were going! So I thought: ‘I'll get off at the next bus stop. Then I'l cross the street and get the bus in the opposite direction back to the ‘bus station.” F When we got to the bus station, the bus was already there. It was just leaving, so I quickly said goodbye to Javier and ran for the bus. 1 got on just in time and the bus left. I found a seat at the back of the bus. G When I got up today, everybody was busy. ‘One of the neighbours was having a party in the evening, and Carmen’s aunt and uncle ‘were helping to get things ready. Carmen and I helped in the morning, too, but in the afterioon ‘there was nothing for us to do, so I went into town and bought some souvenirs.
