make achieving a mouth-to-mouth seal problematic.

How to deliver Rescue Breathing

1. Deliver RB over 1 second

2. Indication of good RB: Rise in patients’ chest

3. Head tilt-chin lift

4. Pinch the nose before breathing

5. Seal the mouth of your patient with your mouth

6. OPEN YOUR MOUTH!

Rate of Artificial Ventilations

Adult — 1 breath every 5-6 seconds

Children — 1 breath every 3 seconds

Infants — 1 breath every 3 seconds
