Social media’s help

We all know, maybe some part of our lives where social

media has given a big impact of help in it by giving you
information you needed. It may be about a personal
favorite idol information, a certain message, a certain
information which tells you how to be better on your job,
or a particularly important news about a precise calamity
coming.
On 11 November 2020, Typhoon Ulysses lashed the main
island of Luzon whipping destructive winds and dumping
heavy rainfall that triggered massive flooding in several
areas including, Region II (Cagayan Valley), which was
one of the most severely affected by it. But before that,
ABS-CBN is a
Philippine
commercial
television and media
network that serves
the Filipinos. It has
also been the
leading television
network in the
Philippines with
advertising revenues
of 21.2 billion pesos
for the fiscal year of
2015, was no longer
given franchise by the government, and it was the only
channel or media that is available on the Cagayan valley,
so with the lack of information, a lot of people did not
get to evacuate for they know nothing about the
typhoon, lucky for those who have gadgets on the said
valley for they have social media to inform them about
the said typhoon,
and had the chance
to tell some people
in their
neighborhood about
the typhoon and got
evacuated
immediately. I can
deeply tell that this
can be one of the
biggest examples of
how social media has helped families, social workers, and
the government in discerning information during
calamities.

Before every information was provided by our tv screens,

our radios, or our newspapers on the morning, but now
we can gain easy and information through our phones,
tablets, laptops, or any other form of social media
instrument, but we must also be careful and thoughtful
about fake news and scams I can say I am lucky to be
able to use this platform, wisely.
