Quarter 2- Grade 6: Week 5-6

FOR THE TEACHERS

An Artistic Nature’s Scene

G– The goal is to make a diorama that displays a nature’s scene.

R– The learner will play the role of a system ecologist. The learner will prepare a plan which
includes a rough sketch of their ideal diorama. Choose a concept or theme. If the learner
would choose an ecosystem, for example, rainforest, they would prepare rocks, grass,
flowers or leaves, animals, etc. If they would choose the ocean ecosystem, they need
shells, rocks, sand, seaweeds, fish, etc.

A– The learners will show the plan to the teachers and the members of the family. The
teacher can suggest the use of modeling clay, printed pictures cut from old magazines,
drawings, toys, or real objects, or recycled materials found inside or outside the house.

S– How do learners make an artistic scene of nature?

Gather recyclable waste materials at home (MAPEH). Group/sort the materials


and interpret and explain the grouping using different operations (Mathematics). Make a
comparison and contrast on the content of materials taken from the old magazines
(English). Out of the gathered materials make a diorama of a nature’s scene like a
rainforest or ocean that displays the interaction among living things and non-living
(Science). Construct/put a simple electrical gadget in your diorama (TLE-Voc).

Prepare short write-ups that show the importance of being responsible and honest
in making a diorama (ESP) using the correct aspect/focus of verbs in different situations
(Filipino).

Category 1 - The learner will submit a video presentation of the creation of the diorama,
a soft copy of a sketch, and write-ups through Facebook Messenger.

Category 2 - The learner will submit the pictures of the creation of the diorama, a soft
copy of a sketch, and write-ups through Google Classroom

Category 3 & 4 - The learner will submit the diorama and a hard copy of the sketch and
write-ups to the teacher.

INTEGRATIVE PERFORMANCE TASK:

Your task is to make a diorama that displays a nature’s scene.

You will play the role of a system ecologist. Prepare a plan which includes a rough
sketch of their ideal diorama. Choose a concept or theme. If you would choose an
ecosystem, for example, rainforest, you should prepare rocks, grass, flowers or
leaves, animals, etc. If you would choose the ocean ecosystem, you need shells,
rocks, sand, seaweeds, fish, etc.

You will show the plan to your teachers and members of the family. Your
teacher can suggest the use of modeling clay, printed pictures cut from old
magazines, drawings, toys, or real objects or recycled materials found inside or
outside your house.

Category 1: Create a video presentation, and encode write-ups of your diorama in word
form, then take a photo of your sketch. Submit all the outputs through Facebook
Messenger.

Category 2: Take photos of your sketch and diorama, then encode write-ups in word form.
Submit all the outputs through Google Classroom.

Category 3 & 4: Submit the diorama and a hard copy of the sketch and write-ups to the
teacher.
