SUBJECT : SCIENCE

PHYSICS
1. A circular track has a circumference of 3140 m with AB as one of its
diameter. A scooterist moves from A to B alone the circular path with a
uniform speed of 10m/s. Find
a) Distance covered by the scooterist
b) Displacement of the scooterist
c) Time taken by the scooterist in reaching from A to B.

2. A car ran for 2 minute at a speed of 7.5 km/h, then stopped for 56 minute and
again ran for 2 minute at 7.5 km/h. Find the average speed of the car.

3. The graph given alongside shows how the speed of a car changes with time.

a) What is the initial speed of the car?

b) What is the maximum speed attained by the
car?
c) Which part of the graph shows zero
acceleration?
d) Which part of the graph shows varying
retardation?
e) Find the distance travelled in first 8 hours.

4. A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72 km/h in 5 minutes.

Assuming the acceleration is uniform, find
i) the acceleration
ii) the distance travelled by the train for attaining this velocity.

5. A bullet hits a sand box with a velocity of 20m/s and penetrates it up to a

distance of 6 cm. find the deceleration of the bullet in the sand box.
