Black cat

the narrator begins by saying that the story is a true story.

He lived well with his wife and animals until he started having a drinking problem.

Alcohol dominated him and he began to mistreat his wife and his beloved animals, even his

greatest friend the black cat Pluto did not want to approach him out of fear. Angry at this

situation I grabbed him and gouged out his eye with a knife. Pluto does not approach him and

this annoys him more and ends up hanging him.

Time passes and his house burns down and only a wall with the figure of the hanged cat remains

standing, he tries to find logical explanations and ends up relating cats to witches.

increasingly dominated by drink, in a tavern he finds a cat similar size to pluto, also black but

with a white spot and takes it home, with time he realizes that the cat is also one-eyed and that

the black spot it looks like a gallows. guilt consumes him and he wants to kill the second cat, his

wife stops him, enraged with his wife he decides to kill her with an axe. decides to hide his

corpse inside the wall. the police begin the investigations about the disappearance of the wife,

they inspect the house, he presumes that the walls of his house are well made. the policemen

begin to suspect, they hear a noise from inside the wall they break it and the second cat was on

the wife's corpse
