Inflation-Poverty
Basic Economic Problem

Inflation is a situation of rising prices in the economy. The cost of living in a country is the
most affected factor as the price of goods and services rise.
According to Shahidur (2012), Inflation lowers the value of people's cash holdings, their real
income and the purchasing power of their money, this subjecting them to increased poverty
level.
After I watched the documentary video about the Inflation and poverty in Philippines it is hard
to us Filipino having small income but the price of all daily needs are increasing. Even the salt,
sugar and other necessities. It is important to every individual to study and learn about the
social issues here in our country because it will help us to understand the reality the main
problem in our country. And it is also important to in teaching social sciences to open our mind
that we lived in a society were all of things are not stable. Inflation affects all individuals
especially students because even the school materials increased the price. So we should focus
on study to make a new world and to change the future.
