Prepaid
Prepaid Card issuing process at the branch. The process of how a prepaid cash card is
issued to a customer and activated.

 Customer card activated and ready for transacting


 Card contains minimum baseline balance of BWP 50.00 and the BWP 30.00
joining fee has also been paid
 Customer details verified
 Customer
 Branch Customer Service agent
 Back office supervisor/Assistant Back Office Supervisor/Branch Manager

Flow of Events

Step by step process

Customer provides the required KYC documentation

The service agent receives the documents from the customer

The service agent hands application form to the customer to fill

The customer fills out the application form


Documents provided are confirmed by the service agent

Service agent then certifies the copy of ID/Passport provided by the customer

The service agent hands the customer the card in a sealed envelope

The customer opens the sealed envelope and confirms the embossed names on the card

Customer peels off PIN seal on envelope and confirms that PIN is visible and has not been tampered with

The customer then signs to confirm receipt of both the card and PIN

The card is handed back to the Service agent to register it for activation

The card is registered for activation

Customer is informed about service fees associated with using the card

The service agent sends the card activation list to branch management

Back office supervisor/Assistant Supervisor/Branch Manager receives the activation list and activates cards

Back office supervisor/Assistant Supervisor/Branch Manager then confirms card activation

The service agent informs customer of card activation

Customer deposits BWP 50.00 base fee and BWP 30.00 joining fee and can start transacting
