Congratulations! You have been selected to join the English Language Teacher Training
(ELTT) Program, a professional development program funded by the Regional English
Language Office (RELO) of the Embassy of the United States of America to Indonesia.
World Learning, a global development and exchange NGO, has been selected by RELO to
implement the ELTT program. Through a scalable, multi-stage cascade training program
model in which 12 Master Trainers will train 56 trainers who will train 280 madrassah and
pesantren teachers, you will get the opportunity to enhance your capacity as madrassah and
pesantren English language educators. The Directorate General of Islamic Education of the
Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has been informed of the ELTT program and given
its official approval of this initiative.

We are pleased to announce and invite you to the opening ceremony of the English Language
Teacher Training (ELTT) Program which marks the beginning of the teacher training and
peer learning hubs. During the opening ceremony, we will have representatives from The
Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA), the U.S. Embassy Jakarta and Dr. Donald Freeman.

Your work in the ELTT program will be primarily with your Trainer and Master Trainer, but
the World Learning team will support behind the scenes throughout the program. Your
agreements and official letters will come from the Program Manager, Holly Marvin, with
support from me as the local program coordinator.
