I stand out there, just past forever Leaning on a lamp post, underneath a star speckled midnight sky I stand

on my words and deeds, to be judged by others The lovely lonely moon illuminates a dark and perfect path Straight into the night, into the heart of the stars Ever forward into the mysterious realms of the unknown I stand in one place only just long enough, before I move Entropy nipping at the heels of humanity, Infinity realizes it's own mortality I stand in a forest and listen to the story of the trees The trees tell a tale of a time before the age of man, a tale of a time of peace I stand on a rock atop the highest mountains of Jupiter Looking to the blue planet I call my home Looking past Sol into the vastness of distant galaxies I stand upon the ruins of Atlantis at the bottom of the sea Surveying the former greatness of our race Our race leaving only echoes of life, vanishing into the invisible molten ether I stand on the surface of the Sun, consumed in the life giving flame Radiating into the cosmos, catching a comet by it's tail I stand at the center of the universe, waiting to meet you there Where we can swim through fluidic space, in the casual ocean I stand at the foot of the lotus, where others kneel Gazing directly into the atom heart mother I stand here, just long enough until I see another lamp post With a gentle orange glow in the darkest of night Lighting the way, dark and perfect Strange and disquieting, I stand
