8. LETTER OF INTEREST (Mandatory to complete if applying for a specific vacancy announcement)
Please indicate the position you are applying for Advocacy and Communications Support
Please answer the following questions.
1. How have your achievements and operational experience to date prepared you for this position?
Please refer to the job description and to the essential requirements therein. (2000 characters max)
Throughout my career, I have been always working in Communication, Journalism and Public Relations. Depending on the job
and the company or organization I previously worked for, the responsibilities would be very versatile and therefore I believe that
the experience I have gained throughout the years has made me a well-rounded professional in the field of Communications.
From number of Internships in the UN to PR Manager as my first official full-time job in Ukraine, to an Editor-in-Chief of a whole
magazine, every single job has been gradually building up and expanding my skills.
Working with my previous employer required high levels of critical thinking, decision making and perfect time management
skills, as well as being able to run several projects simultaneously. I worked a lot under stress and tight deadlines, but if
anything, it has only made me stronger and more capable to manage day-to-day functions more efficiently while also managing
teams of people working on projects with me remotely.
Today, I feel like there is no assignment that I would not be able to accomplish or challenge that I would not overcome. Often,
solving a problem or doing a certain job requires extra effort and learning, and I am ready to do so. I am always eager to do
new things and learn how to, not being afraid to show my weak points. Only this way a professional can truly grow.
Looking at the job description and the requirements, I can see that this job can be a good opportunity for me as I could be able
to work efficiently on the things that I know well as well as learn something new therefore expanding my knowledge. I have
experience in brand strengthening, social media management, video production, reporting, writing, editing for magazines,
newspapers and websites, performance reporting and implementing communications strategies. I have not used digital asset
management systems in my work before, but I am willing to learn as quickly as possible if given a chance to.

2. Please describe any skills and competencies you have, and which may be of particular relevance to this position.
(2000 characters max)
I am a very communcative person, both on personal and proffessional levels, with strong intercultural communcative skills
which I find essential for working in any international organization or company. I am able to work independently and manage
other people, however I am also a great team player when it comes to working toward common goals. I am always there to
help, my teammates can always count on me, even if it's something outside the scope of my working duties, and I expect the
same approach from the people I worl with. I have proven to be a trustworthy employee and a trustwothy manager with a high
level of leadership skills.

Thanks to my analytical thinking I am able to process information quickly and see the bigger picture. That applies to political
awareness in particular, as to truly understand what is happening today in the world it is absolutely crucial to appoach
information from different angles and analyze it before making any conclusions. As a Ukrainian who had to flee the country
because of current war in Ukraine, I not only have to stay aware of what is happening in my country and watch Ukrainian news,
I have to analyze the full picture of the world politics to understand how this happened in the first place and what events led to
it.

3. How does this position align with your career aspirations?(1500 characters max)

Print Date: 2 September 2022 Page 3 of

After my first internship in the UN back in 2013 I quickly realized that this was the organization that I wanted to be a part of in
the future. The reason for this is I am a strong advocate for peace. Today, when there is war in Ukraine, and after having fled
my country, I feel like the only way I can help is my work, as this is only way I know how. I believe that working at UNHCR can
give me that opportunity. I also believe and hope that UNHCR can become a place for me to build my further career.

9. WORK EXPERIENCE (Mandatory to complete, if any)

For all work experience, please complete as much information as possible.
