INTRODUCTION

Internships or on-the-job training are one approach in which we students

may use the concepts and methods that we have acquired in school. It also
assists us in gaining relevant information and skills by functioning in a real-world
professional situation. As part of their curriculum of Humanities and Social
Sciences strand, academic institutions need their students to complete such
training within a certain number of hours.

An OJT or internship program allows us students to go through the actual

methodology of a certain work utilizing genuine materials, software, and papers.
In fact, the workplace becomes a training ground for us student trainees to learn
more about our chosen subject and put what we've learned in the academy into
practice.

A successful OJT program, on the other hand, benefits the companies that
accept trainees. First, OJT or interns give extra personnel to help the normal
employee. Because the majority of them are eager to learn the skills, chances
are they will be hired by the same industry after graduating. Employers may
utilize this internship tactic to find new staff. Because the trainer or supervisor
can monitor the trainee's development, he may determine if the trainee will be a
good recruit after completing his internship based on performance, conduct, and
attitude. Trainees can also contribute new ideas to the institution. Managers are
teaching their staff to lead interns by extending their patience, developing
teaching skills, and making them more responsive to the demands and mindset
of the younger generation when training interns. The supervision program also
teaches them how to share their knowledge and be open to criticism. As a result,
the internship also serves as a training ground for the company's future
executives.

organization of school files and credentials at the school office and faculty room, I
was also assigned at the nursery room the next day by arranging bulletin boards
materials for nursery learning and then in the school library wherein I was
assigned in the encoding of data of inventory lists of books in the library. Along
with my companions from other strands and classmates Althea, Jolina, Jayrene,
Mary Joy, Nicole, Joshua, Mariz, Maverick and others. In my work immersion
experience, I took down comprehensive notes of the daily happenings and
progress of our tasks. My internship covered not only one field of training, which
is to be prepared for real-life profession, but it also includes my social growth as
student intern.

HISTORY OF THE COMPANY/ESTABLISHMENT/SCHOOL/MUNICIPALITIES

The establishment of the first and only learning institution in Barangay

Wawa Ilaya, Lemery, Batangas took place in the year 2004.

A nurse by profession, but has a fervent desire and love for the teaching
profession, Sir Danny Cabral Bilale was motivated to put up a tutorial center and
housed in the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Artemio Aguilan. Mr. Phil A. Perez and
wife Marie Linda Bilale Perez bought the house from their earnings as Over seas
Filipino Workers (OFW's) in Switzerland. They agreed that the place is an ideal
venue to start a school for the Pre-Elementary with Sir Danny as the school
manager. The school was expected to accept only enrollees from Wawa and
other nearby barangays.

The school was first named Sacred Heart Tutorial Center in honor of the
image of Sacred Heart of Jesus, placed at the grotto. Later, the school was re
named Swiss Learning Center until finally came it's present name, SWISS
MONTESSORI SCHOOL, INC.

Ms. Joanna A. Araja, Ms. Gemmalyn B. Malabanan, Mrs. Arlene De

Claro, Ms. Rubygane Catena and Ms. Roselle A. Marquez were the first teachers
who served the academic needs of the 19 pupils and 10 tutees from different
private schools.

After a year, the first Pre-Elementary commencement exercises was held

on March 20, 2005 with Renz Nicole H. De Leon, topped the list of the graduates.

On the year 2006, the school complied with the Department of Education
(DepEd) requirements issued the permit to operate Grade 1. This started the
operation of the next academic levels.

At present the school has 16 competent, dedicated and dynamic teachers

under the leadership of Sir Danny C. Bilale, the school's Director.

PART IV

NARRATION OF EXPERIENCE

April 18, 2022 - Monday

This is our first day of our work immersion. On this day we have our
orientation, Mrs. Barcebal, the School Principal introduce us about the school
and assigned us to our specific department. She oriented us to what rooms and
tasks we are going to execute and the time of breaks and arrival we should be
here. That morning, each one of us feel the excitement of the first day of work
immersion. As for our first task of the day, I was assigned at the school office and
faculty for the organization of school files and credentials of the past students
enrolled at the school since its establishment from year 2004 up to present.
Along with my companions, Althea, Gessele, Mary Joy and Nicole, we organize
each files, arrange in its chronological orders. Mrs. Masangkay was also guiding
us and visiting that day. Thankfully we finished all of the files that day as well. At
the end of our task for that day, we feel tired and accomplished at the same time,
feeling great of our first accomplished task.

Lesson: We develop our teamwork in organizing files, resourcefulness also that

made us easily execute and finish the work.

April 19, 2022 – Tuesday

Second day! We are now experiencing the reality of our chosen field!
Hooray for today for we are have accomplished the Encoding of Books Inventory
of the school library and arrangements of learning materials of nursery and
kindergarten. The school guidance counselor, Mrs. Masangkay the one guiding
and assisting us that day was so happy because we are fast in doing the tasks
and doing it appropriately. We enjoy each others company, chatting during our
free times.

Lesson: Unity in a task is beneficial to each one of us, if we don’t work together
we wouldn’t be able to finished the tasks.

April 20, 2022 – Wednesday

Our third day of work immersion was quite productive as well, I arrived at
the school at 7:15 am. We encoded a lot of papers of inventory lists of books at
the library. Miss Rosales oriented us that morning of our tasks, along with Ms.
Ciocson she also visited us from time to time to check up on us, how are we
doing and guiding us on our works. I really appreciate each one of my
companions help, Jayrene who helped me encoding, to Joshua who also
volunteered encoding to have a fast paced of progress, and to the people
assigned for the inventory of books.

Lesson: It is very important to know Time Management, through a proper time

management we managed to execute our tasks, divided the works and work with
unity.

April 21, 2022 – Thursday

Fourth day! Now this work immersion was close to its end…Today, I
arrived at the school at 7:22 am. Mr. Buceta was the one visiting and guiding us
on our work tasks, we continue our previous works, encoding of the inventory
lists of books at the school library, during my vacant time as soon as I finished
typing the lists of inventory, I volunteered on helping the people assigned in
inventory listings, I did list the volumes of books, writing its designated title, the
copyrights and authors. It was fun too, I once dreamed of being a librarian since I
was little since I am fond of reading books, our home also has a lot of textbooks
because of our families professions. So, I applied things I’ve already known, in
organizing. Working with Jolina, Jayrene, Victor and Joshua as we are encoding,
we feel like the task was progressing fast. I also observed my companions
concentration on work, that made us to focus and aligned to finishing our tasks.

Lesson: Focus on work is crucial, avoiding distractions will make works to

finished early.

April 22, 2022 – Friday

This is the last day of our work immersion, we continue our unfinished
work from the previous days which is encoding of the inventory list of books in
the library. Miss Benitez oriented us early in the morning of the assigned tasks,
Ms. Ciocson and Miss Rosales are visiting us guiding us of our task. Our
teamwork for today was worth it, we finished everything. We enjoy each other’s
company, that even for a short span of time we did have so much fun. And as for
the last day, we have so much fun that afternoon wherein we did have some
awarding and appreciation to the trainees, for the punctuality who arrived early
since day one, also who wear the proper attire consecutively for 5 days. I enjoy
this 5 days of work immersion

Lesson: It is very important to be punctual at work, arriving earlier than the said
time was efficient and allows you to be prepared and productive instead of being
late.

PART V

LEARNINGS

We learn the importance of punctuality at real life field of work, Mrs.

Barcebal taught us,having the respect to each and every one, also being
trustworthy, keeping the confidentiality at work, what we have seen, heard at
known must remain as it was and won’t be exposed outside the institution, we
learn teamwork, unity, time management, creativity and resourcefulness in each
task we did for those 5 days of work immersion like when we bring 3 devices in
order to finish early the encoding which is thankfully we finished it all exactly at
the last day, through the help of one of my classmates Joshua Sabungey, Jolina
Catapat, Jayrene Onda and Maverick Cabatic.

However, challenges are inevitable at work, we experience the challenge

of the hot weather, tiredness, and at first was the lack of skills and knowledge to
some software applications but gladly we all helped each other figuring out things.

All the teachers and staffs are all welcoming, they are nice and hearth-
warming to us, they treat us nicely and I really appreciate them. I am glad to
experience this five-days work immersion at my beloved school, Swiss
Montessori School.
