An environmental problem (harmful effects of tourism)

One of the biggest problems nowadays is an environmental problem. Every day our planet
suffers from people’s hands. There are a lot of endangered species of animals, which die
every month because of pollution. Tourism affects the environment in a harmful way. People
forget about nature and its inhabitants.

For instance, ocean inhabitants suffer from plastic, and fish die due to water pollution and it’s
just a small part of the biggest problem. Different plants are wiped from the face of the earth
because there is huge air pollution, in consequence of which most parts of nature can’t
survive in such conditions.
Tourists visit different places in our world and continue polluting areas. Most hotels are built
in protected areas and it influences the wildlife there. A lot of entertainment is related to
nature and it bothers animals’ life.

So, as I see it, there is a huge problem with the environment and people have to deal with it as
soon as possible. We have to start with ourselves.
Firstly,  the major part of countries refused to use plastic and asked to pay big money for a
plastic packet. In Ukraine, this programme started not so long time ago, but it already has a
positive influence. Most people bought shoppers and reusable bags, which helps to get rid of
plastic and stop polluting nature.
Secondly, people have to stop using animals as a type of entertainment for tourists and
build eco-friendly hotels.
And finally, we have to stop participating such people, which don’t understand how terrible
the environmental problem is and contribute a little part of the help. So as everything starts
with the first person, and I totally believe that a lot of people will support this idea.

Anyway, there are a lot of ways to deal with pollution, it’s difficult to do, but we have to start
because our planet- is our home and we must think not only about ourselves but also about
the next generations and especially about the inhabitants of our beautiful Earth, which suffer
from our actions and unconsciousness.9
