Significance of the Study

The main interest of this study is to determine the internet dependence of the nursing students of

Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. In the pursuit of the study, the data obtained shall be

significantly useful to the following groups of individuals who may be beneficially involved,

giving reason as to why this study has to be conducted.

Nursing students. This study would confer information and awareness of the nursing students in

internet dependence that affect to their academic performance during challenging times such as

online classes amidst a global pandemic.

Clinical Instructors. The findings of this study will instill the knowledge, values and skills

particularly in the effectiveness of the delivery in the clinical setting approach and nursing

students awareness on internet dependence.

School administrators. This study will serve as the promotion of students awareness in attending

online classes amidst the global pandemic and its effects on status of the educational system to

address interventions for student’s academic performance.

Families. This study will identify the difficulties faced by nursing students and their families in

fostering a trusting environment, so that the identified variables are given in detail and the need

for a solution is highlighted.

Future researcher. This study may provide the future reference to those who are interested to

venture in such field. It develops researchers sense of patience, determination, hard work,

courage and perseverance, thus, creating a bond of camaraderie.
